Jacqueline Vase #9

My ceramics pieces represent the coming together of the old and new. The shapes that I gravitate towards are inspired by Ancient Greek and Ancient Roman vessels but the designs in which I paint onto my pieces are inspired by Picasso.

I have named the first release "Jacqueline", after Jaqueline Roque. Picasso met Jacqueline in the pottery studio of Madoura. They spent more than 20 years together, and Picasso painted her more than any other woman in his life.

Pottery brought these two together.
